Influence Study of Different Gap Imperfection on the Axial Compression Properties of Bolt-welded CFST
Initial defects may occur between the steel tube and the core concrete during the construction of large-span Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular(CFST)arch bridge. This paper is based on the proposed design scheme of the arch rib bolt-welded joints of the Tian'e Longtan Bridge, taking the spherical-cap gap and circumferential gap in bolt-welded CFST as the research object, the influence of defects on the mechanical properties of CFST short columns is analyzed from the failure mode, load displacement curve,load-strain curve, etc. The results show that when the defects ratios of spherical-cap gap are 2.3%,4.6%and 6.9%,the ultimate strength of the members decreases 7.63%,8.40%,and 15.41%respectively compared with the no-imperfection specimens. The bearing capacity drops 2.52%,5.88%,and 7.56%with the circumferential gap angles 900,1800,and 2700 of circumferential gap.The reduction degree of the bearing capacity of the circumferential gap is lower than that of the spherical-cap gap,and under the action of axial pressure, the bolt-welded joint shifts the bulging position in the middle of the stub to the top and bottom of the joints.
