Content Framework and Evolution Pattern of Corporate Ecological Mechanisms:Findings Based on Qualitative Meta-analysis
Current research on corporate ecosystems still focuses on breaking through their metaphors and exploring their unique operating principles. However, the existing literature, oriented towards various business contexts, has formed different research tendencies, which do not fully capture the entire spectrum of corporate ecological mechanisms.Meanwhile, given that current research is still dominated by case studies, this paper uses qualitative meta-analysis to screen out 31 case papers of ecosystem research, and through a structured coding process, the complete elemental composition of the enterprise ecological mechanism is organized, and from the logical relationships between the elements,it is found that:(1)the case samples support that the corporate ecosystem has three ecological mechanisms, including those of value co-creation,practice coordination, and resource competition;(2)the three ecological mechanisms have the same content composition logic and can be portrayed in terms of ecological fields and ecological behaviors;(3)the evolution of the three ecological mechanisms has complex properties, which manifests the evolution pattern of nonlinear iteration, spontaneous emergence, and open adaptation. This paper provides new clues to the development of corporate ecosystem research within a more complete theoretical framework.
