The Harvard Case Teaching:Historical Retrospection,Characteristics Exploration and Methodology Reference
The Harvard case method focuses on the participant-centered,rigorous logic and rich contents.With teachers'guidance,students are encouraged to link theory with practice,carry out deeper and higher-order thinking,and actively formulate the best available solution.By analyzing the development history and advantages of Harvard case method in seeking new changes over 150 years,this paper explores the process of implementing"Plan-Do-Check-Act"of Harvard case method.This paper deeply analyzes the key teaching characteristics of Harvard case method,such as the equality of free speech,the competition of class discussion,the practicality of teaching process and the practicability of case-based teaching results.Based on the current situation of domestic case teaching,this paper puts forward the key points of Harvard case method for methodology reference,and aims to improve the level of case teaching and quality of teachers and students in China.
