Research and Application of Abrasion Resistance for Plate-Type SCR Catalyst by Falling Abrasive Method
Abrasion resistance is the key mechanical property of plate-type SCR catalyst. For the accurate measurements of the properties,a falling abrasive method and device was designed and developed in this study.Principle of this method could be briefly described as follows.A fixed mass of abrasive fall freely from specific height, having impact on the surface of plate-type SCR catalyst sample. In this process, the mass loss of samples caused by the impact can be used to evaluate the of abrasion resistance of plate-type SCR catalysts. The result of research showed that,a significant and stable test results could be obtained with the follow optimized experimental parameters:S30408 stainless steel grit with 0.300 mm to 0.425 mm particle size range was selected as the abrasive; The abrasive falling height was 2.0 m;The abrasive supply rate was 0.4 kg/min;And the total abrasive consumption of single test was 4.0 kg.Comparison between falling abrasive method and traditional test method of rotating abrasive rubber wheel showed that, the falling abrasive method was reasonable and feasible, which could distinguish the abrasion resistance differences from various plate-type SCR catalysts with more efficiency.
