Research on the Emission Characteristics of NOx and SOx During the Co-Processing of Oil Sludge in a Pulverized Coal Boiler
Oil sludge contains a large number of S and N elements. When using a pulverized coal boiler for co-processing of oil sludge, the impact of collaborative disposal on the genera-tion of NOx and SO x needs to be considered. In this study, first, the basic combustion char-acteristics and the emission characteristics of combustion pollutants of three oil sludge sam-ples were obtained. Then a simplified NOx and SOx reaction mechanism model for co-pro-cessing of oil sludge in pulverized coal boilers was established through sensitivity analysis and rate of production analysis, combined with direct relationship graph with error propagation(DREGP)method. The reaction mechanism model includes 132 reactions of 36 components. And the reaction mechanism was coupled with CFD to simulate the combustion process of co-processing of oil sludge in a 300 MW tangentially pulverized coal boiler, and the impact of co-processing on the generation of NOx and SOi was predicted. It was found that NO and SO2 mainly come from fuels and are influenced by temperature,O2 concentration, and reducing radicals. The change in NO generation is mainly influenced by temperature. When the co-processing amount is 3% ,the average concentration of NO is lower than that of pure pulver-ized coal combustion. The average concentration of SO2 increases with the increase of co-pro-cessing amount. The research results lay the foundation for predicting the impact of pollutant generation during the co-processing of oil sludge by pulverized coal boilers.
