Modification for the Nozzle in the Furnace of 450 t/h Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler
As a core component of the combustion equipment of circulating fluidized bed boiler, the nozzle directly determines the fluidization quality of the boiler, thereby affecting its safety and economy.Addressing the issue of ash leakage from the furnace nozzle in a 450 t/h circulating fluidized bed boiler, combined with tests on the resistance characteristics of an empty bed and numerical simulation results,it was found that the cause of the ash leakage was the significantly low pressure drop of the nozzle, which was only 2 kPa under operating conditions.Taking into account the boiler's operating conditions and the modification time,an optimized modification plan was adopted to replace the cap of the nozzle in order to increase its pressure drop. After the modification, the pressure drop of the nozzle increased to 4.1 kPa,successfully resolving the problem of ash leakage from the nozzle and improving the safety and economy of the boiler.
