Load Transfer Performance on Prefabricated Cement Concrete Pavement with Hanging and Connecting Shared Reinforcement
In order to solve the problem that the load transfer capacity between prefabricated concrete pavement slabs of the'hanging and connecting shared reinforcement'system with two-way force transmission characteristics is unclear, the self-developed buckle type reverse tensioning connectors are used to mechanically connect the transverse main reinforcement and the longitudinal main reinforcement embedded in prefabricated pavement slab in pairs. The self-compacting cement mortar is applied to fill the joints to carry out the field test of prefabricated cement concrete pavement with two-way connection between pavement slabs. The horizontal ultimate tensile and vertical load transfer capacity between precast cement concrete pavement slabs are obtained. The influencing factors of load transfer capacity between prefabricated cement concrete pavement slabs with hanging and connecting shared reinforcement are analyzed by combining the numerical simulation of load transfer between pavement slabs. The result shows that the horizontal ultimate tensile capacity of one single self-developed connector can be up to about 53 kN,and the pavement joints in transversal and longitudinal direction equipped with self-developed connectors can provide 300 kN of horizontal tensile capacity for pavement. The average load transfer efficiency(LTE)between slabs is about 75%,and the satisfied leveling of base layer can increase the LTE between slabs to more than 80%.Moreover,the load transfer efficiency between slabs is positively correlated with the mechanical connection stiffness of pavement joints, when the mechanical connection stiffness reaches 1/4 of integrated reinforcement connection, the integration effect can be realized. The spacing between connectors should not be less than 0.3 m,and the connection is suggested to be arranged below the wheel load tracking of road surface. In addition, the flexible base material is recommended to be used in the assembled pavement, and the void of base layer at the joint has a great influence on the load transfer efficiency and smoothness between plates. Before the prefabrication of the assembled pavement,it is particularly necessary to pay attention to the leveling and sealing of base layer at the joint. The study result provides a technical reference for the connection mode and structural combination design of innovative prefabricated concrete pavement slabs.
