Perception Differences of Tourism Impact among Residents from Different Heritage Sites
Based on the research and fieldwork of 12 nationwide heritage sites, by adoption of SPSS13.0, this paper applies the method of descriptive statistics analysis, one way ANOVA for subgroup data to make a quantitative analysis of the overall economic, social, environmental and cultural impacts on heritage sites. This article explores the perceived difference in the different types of heritage. The conclusions are: Heritage tourism development brought a wide range of positive effects to the economic, cultural, social and environmental aspects. However, negative impacts like traffic jams and noise pollution issues are becoming increasingly prominent, but neither significantly affected the residents' lives nor caused security problems. Type of heritage is an important factor that affects people's attitude toward tourism impact. Residents in natural heritages are more sensitive to the posi- tive economic impact than residents in cultural heritages, more sensitive to cultural impact than residents in other kinds of herita- ges, while residents in cultural heritages are less sensitive to the positive economic impact. The residents in the World cultural and natural heritage are more sensitive to the positive economic impact than residents in cultural heritages, less sensitive to negative social impact than residents in cultural heritages.
