The Mechanisms of Growth Need Strengthen Influences on Employees'Innovative Behavior
Based on the self-determination theory,this study analyses data from 367 dyads of two-stage questionnaires of employees and their immediate supervisors,and empirically tests the mecha-nisms of individual growth need strengthen(GNS)influences on employees'innovative behavior,es-pecially focusing on the indirect effect of creative self-efficacy,the moderating effect of perceived in-sider status cognition,and the moderated indirect effect of creative self-efficiency.The results show that:there is a positive relationship between GNS and employee innovative behavior.Specifically,GNS indirectly drives employee innovation behavior through the mediation of creative self-efficacy.Perceived insider status cognition significantly moderates the indirect effect of creative self-efficiency.Specifically,compared with the lower insider status cognition,the indirect effect of creative self-effi-ciency will increase more obviously when the perceived insider status cognition is higher,meanwhile,the relationship between GNS and employees'innovative behavior will increase accordingly.
