Study on the surface properties of membrane of cationic perfluoroalkyl waterborne polyurethane
Cationic waterborne fluorinated polyurethane (CFPU) containing perfluoroalkyl side chain was prepared by the reaction of isophorone isocyanate (IPDI), polyether polyol (PTMG1000), N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), 1,4-butanediol (BDO), trimethylol propane (TMP) and 2-(perfluorooctyl) ethyl alcohol (FEOH).The structure of the polymer was characterized by Fourier transform infared spectrometer (IR). And the contact angle of the membrane was measured, the distribution of the fluorinated group was examined in the surface of films with electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA), then the heat resistance and corrosion resistance were also investigated. The results showed that during the process of casting membranes, the fluorinated group stretched on the interface of the air and the polymer, and had property of going to exterior, which could beneficial to form low energy surface and protect the inner molecule of the polymer effectively, and the films were provided with excellent heat and corrosion resistance properties.
