The data of mineral resources is an important part of the basic national conditions and national strength.In order to find out the reserves of mineral resources,ensure the high-quality development of the mining economy and promote the establishment of a regular investigation and evaluation system for mineral resources,according to the deployment requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources,based on the experience of the national pilot survey,Gansu Province has carried out a comprehensive survey of non-oil and gas mineral resources.This is a systematic investigation and evaluation of the quantity,quality,structure and spatial distribution of various types of mineral resources,as well as the status of unused,utilized and overlaid.This paper summarizes the development of the survey of mineral resources in Gansu Province,and summarizes the results of the survey.Through this survey,we have mastered the true and accurate basic data of mineral resources,completed the evaluation and renewal of mineral resources potential of 8 minerals such as iron ore and gold ore,carried out special research on the dynamic supervision and management system of mineral resources reserves,established a three-dimensional presentation system of typical mines,and built a national mineral resources survey database.In order to maximize the role of the survey results of mineral resources,the application suggestions of the survey results are put forward to help the new round of prospecting breakthrough strategic action in Gansu Province.
