Study on the Extraction Technology and Antibacterial Activity of Flavonoids from the Stem of Stellera Chamaejasme
In order to rationally develop and utilize the flavonoids in the stem of Stellera chamaejasme, the optimum extraction process of flavonoids from the stem of Stellera chamaejasme was studied by orthogonal design, the effects of flavonoids from the stem of Stellera chamaejasme on Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli were also analysed. The results showed that the optimum conditions for the extraction of flavonoids from the stems of Stellera chamaejasme were as follows:temperature 70℃,ethanol concentration 50%,solid-liquid ratio 1∶20,reflux time 2.5 h,and the extraction rate was as high as 23.34%.The flavonoids from the stem of Stellera chamaejasme had inhibitory effects on Escherichia coli,Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. The minimum inhibitory concentration for both Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis was 12.5 mg/mL,the minimum inhibitory concentration for Escherichia coli was 6.25 mg/mL.
