Study on Mechanical Properties of Loess Solidified by Calcium Lignosulfonate
This paper study the mechanical properties of calcium lignosulfonate solidified loess by using calci-um lignosulfonate as curing agent and loess in Xigu District of Lanzhou City as curing object. The effects of curing agent content and curing age on the unconfined compressive strength and rebound modulus of calcium lignosulfo-nate solidified loess were studied by heavy standard compaction test, unconfined compressive strength test and re-bound modulus test. The results show that the maximum dry density of solidified loess increases and the optimal moisture content decreases with the increase of calcium lignosulfonate content. When the content of curing agent is less than 1%,the unconfined compressive strength of solidified loess increases with the increase of curing age,but decreases when the content is more than 1%.With the increase of curing time, the resilience modulus of solidified loess gradually increased, and with the increase of curing agent content, the resilience modulus first increased and then decreased.Based on the experimental data of unconfined compressive strength, the relationship between un-confined compressive strength and curing age of calcium lignosulfonate solidified loess was established. The ob-tained results can provide reference for engineering practice.
