Inheritance trend in resistance to phylloxera in grape cross progenies
In order to provide the basis for breeding physiology-resistant rootstocks, laboratory bioassays were carried out for evaluation on the progenies' resistance and inheritance of 6 cross combinations. The result showed that SO4, 5BB, 1103 P, Vitis riparia 580, V. yanshanensis 0947 and V. champini 1148 were resistant to phylloxera,. Beta and V. amurensis were susceptible to phylloxera. The resistance to phylloxera of 6 cross progenies showed the traits of continuous distribution and quantitative inheritance. In process of parent combination, the proportion of American Vitis species had a positive correlation with the strength of resistance to phylloxera, which present the additive effects of gene. The resistance to phylloxera of 6 cross progenies showed a downtrend. Choosing parent with resistance to phylloxera was most import task in grape rootstock breeding.
