Geotextiles with wrapped transverse ribs have good reinforcement-soil interface characteristics. In order to verify its reinforcement effect in the reinforced structure and analyze the related influencing fac-tors,the numerical model of reinforced soil retaining wall is established by using finite element software. On the basis of verifying the credibility of the numerical simulation, the influence of the number, length and p osition of the back-wrapped transverse ribs, the direction of the back-wrapped transverse ribs on the set-tlement on wall top and the vertical superimposed stress are analyzed. The results show that the geotextile stitched back-wrapped transverse ribs can effectively increase the overall stability of the retaining wall and effectively limit the settlement of the wall.Reducing the number of wrapped transverse ribs properly in the lower part of the wall has little effect on the superimposed stress and deformation of the wall. When the wrapped transverse ribs are set directly below the load point and its length is the same as the width of the load, the settlement of the wall top and the vertical superimposed stress are obviously reduced. The direc-tion of the transverse ribs has little effect on the superimposed stress and deformation of the wall. The re-search results can provide a reference for the application of back-wrapped transverse ribs geotextile rein-forcement.
