The influence of prestressed concrete pipe piles on roadbed settlement deformation
The settlement deformation of roadbed is an important factor to control the quality of road re-construction and expansion. In order to reduce the settlement deformation value of roadbed, prestressed concrete(PC)pipe pile can be set to reduce the pile foundation holding force and soil deformation.Taking the Tang-Jin Expressway(Fengnan Jie-Tangcheng)relocation project as an example, the whole process of subgrade deformation development with or without PC pipe pile under different formation conditions is simulated based on PLAXIS 3D,and the development law of subgrade settlement deformation under dif-ferent influencing factors such as pile length, pile diameter and pile spacing is analyzed. The results show that the maximum settlement and horizontal displacement of the subgrade are reduced by 41.6%and 62.8%respectively.The settlement deformation of the subgrade has a nonlinear inverse relationship with pile length and pile diameter,a V-shaped relationship with pile spacing, and the minimum settlement is reached when the pile spacing is 2 m.Setting PC pipe piles can inhibit the settlement deformation of road-bed.Therefore,selecting the pile length, pile diameter and pile spacing of PC pipe piles reasonably to opti-mize the roadbed design becomes the key to restrain the settlement deformation of roadbed, and to achieve the optimal cost performance while ensuring the project quality.
