BBX(B-box-type)蛋白是一类广泛存在于真核生物中的锌指转录因子,在基因表达调控中起到重要的作用.BBX转录因子N末端具有1个或2个由40~47个氨基酸残基组成的保守的B-box结构域,该结构域是锌离子结合结构域.除此之外,有些BBX转录因子家族成员还具有CCT(CONSTANS,CO-like,TIMING OF CAB1:TOC1)结构域,该结构域与核蛋白的运输等相关.目前,在模式植物拟南芥中已发现BBX转录因子家族32个成员,根据其B-box结构域的数目和序列特征以及是否含有CCT结构域,将其分为5个亚家族.BBX转录因子参与植物的各项生命活动过程,包括植物的逆境胁迫反应,如抗高温、抗旱、抗盐碱等防御反应.这些生物学过程与作物产量息息相关,对BBX转录因子的研究可以为作物增产提供一定的理论依据.综述了植物BBX转录因子的结构特点及其在植物逆境胁迫反应中作用的研究进展,旨为植物BBX转录因子的深入研究提供参考.
Research progress of BBX transcription factors in plant stresses responses
BBX(B-box-type)protein is a kind of zinc finger transcription factors widely found in eukaryotes and play important roles in gene expression regulation.The N-terminal of the BBX transcription factors have one or two conserved B-box domains composed of 40~47 amino acid residues,which are zinc ion binding domains.In addition,some BBX transcription factor family members also have a CCT(CONSTANS,CO-like,TIMING OF CAB1:TOC1)domain,this domain is related to the transportation of nuclear proteins and other aspects.At present,32 members of BBX transcription factor family have been found in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana,which are divided into 5 subfamilies according to the number and sequence characteristics of B-box domains,and whether they contain CCT domains.BBX transcription factors are involved in various plant vital processes,including stress responses of plants,such as resistance to high temperature,drought and saline-alkali,and so on.These biological processes are closely related to crop yield,so the study of BBX transcription factors can provide a certain of theoretical basis for crop yield increase.Summarized the structural characteristics of BBX transcription factors,and the research progresses of their roles in stress responses of plants,aiming to provide references for further researches on BBX transcription factors in plant.
