Effect of exogenous hormones on plant sex differentiation
In flowering plants, sex expression is an important process for distinguishing between male and female flowers.Hormone can affect the change of plant sex or plasticity,a large number of plant hormones involves flower sex identification genes and developmental pathway,in the process of plant development flower sex differentiation is of great significance.Mainly review five kinds of plant hormones(such as auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, ethylene, abscisic acid, etc)in the role of plant sex differentiation.Exogenous growth regulators can also influence plant sex differentiation by modulating the activity of related enzymes and the levels of endogenous hormones.Gibbberellin can promote the male expression of some plants, while auxin, abscisic acid, ethylene and cytokinin can promote the female expression of some plants.Lays the foundation for revealing the molecular regulatory mechanisms of the effects of hormones on sex differentiation.
