Measurement of total factor productivity of China's cultural industry and analysis of regional differences
Based on the panel data of China's cultural industry in 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)except Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan from 2013 to 2021,DEA-Malmquist index model is used to measure the total factor productivity and its decomposition efficiency, the Theil index method was used to analyze the regional differences in total factor productivity. The results show that the total factor productivity of the cultural industry fluctuates, but generally shows a downward trend. The development of cultural industries in different regions of China is uneven, the total factor productivity values of regional cultural industries from large to small are in order of eastern, central, northeastern and western regions. The overall Theil index shows a downward trend, and the contribution rate of the regional Theil index is higher than that of the inter-regional Theil index, the regional difference is the main reason for the uneven development of China's cultural industry. Therefore,it is necessary to promote the technological innovation of the cultural industry, adopt different methods according to local conditions, and promote the coordinated development of regions and regions.
