Based on the panel data of A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2009 to 2022 and the fixed effect model,the impact of artificial intelligence application on the labour quantity,wage level and labour quality of manufacturing enterprises was analysed.The results show that the application of artificial intelligence will reduce the number of labor force in enterprises and the demand for labor force with college degree or below,but the salary level of employees will be increased,and the demand for labor force with bachelor degree,master degree or above will also significantly increase.Therefore,workers should actively enhance their professional skills and knowledge reserves,which not only helps to cope with the employment impact brought by artificial intelligence,but also improves employment competitiveness and wage levels.
