On the Immanence of the"Second Combination"——Starting from the Intellectual Relationship between Marx and Classical German Philosophy
The discussion of why the"second combination"is possible should move from external introspection to internal introspection.When Marx dealt with his own cultural tradition,he took the road of immanent transcend-ence,through which he created the theory of historical materialism.The reason why the"first combination"suc-cessfully realized the socialist transformation of China's old society is precisely that it followed the basic principles of historical materialism,which is the kind of internal combination.Similarly,the"second combination"should not be an external grafting of the basic principles of Marxism on the excellent traditional Chinese culture,but sticking to the basic principles of historical materialism,focusing on the main tasks and the needs of our people at present.Only in this way could we carry out the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent tradi-tional Chinese culture and promote human liberation.
