The success of a country's modernization depends on its ability to achieve social integration in re-sponse to the social differentiation that has emerged in the modernization process.From the perspective of social in-tegration,China's excellent traditional culture of great unification,super state capacity and state authority,and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics have successfully carried out social integration of social differentiation in the process of China's modernization,transcending the individualistic culture characterized by individual orien-tation and instrumental rationality in western-style modernization,and surpassing the weakening state capacity,state authority,and the disadvantages of the capitalist system that takes the logic of capital as its refuge.Chinese-style modernization is not only a transcendence of the western-style modernization model,but also a major contribu-tion to the modernization theory.
