Investigation and Study on the Occurrence Regularity of Gall Mites in Willow Witches'Broom Disease in Gansu Province
Willow is one of the common planting tree species in northwest gardens,but it is easily affected by the cultivation conditions and natural environment factors during the whole planting process,resulted diseases and attacked by pests.In recent years,willow witches'broom disease has occurred and spread in Gansu Province,and the incidence is on the rise trend,seriously affecting the landscape ecology in Gansu Province.A large number of gall mites were found in the galls of willow witches'broom disease,in order to clarify the relationship between gall mite and the occurrence of willow witches'broom disease,this study investigated the population dynamics of gall mite in the main occurrence areas of Willow witches'broom disease in Gansu Province,and identified gall mite based on morphology characteristics.The results showed that the number of gall mites increased gradually from west to east,the number of gall mites in Qingyang was the highest(529 on average),and the number of gall mites in Jiuquan was the lowest(52 on average).The occurrence time of gall mite was various in different areas,among which the occurrence time of gall mite in Jiuquan city was the latest,and in Qingyang City was the earliest.The occurrence period of gall mite gradually increased from west to east,the occurrence period of gall mite in Jiuquan city was the shortest,about three months,and the occurrence period of gall mite in Qingyang city was the longest,about five months.There was a positive correlation between the number of gall mite and the incidence of willow witches'broom disease.The results can provide scientific reference for effective control of the occurrence and spread of willow witches'broom branch disease.
