Investigation and'study on Insect Diversity in Greenland in Jiayuguan City
In order to explore the insect species diversity in different habitats in Jiayuguan City, the insect diversities both in landscaping forest and shelter forest were investigated based on line-intercept method and attracting collection method.A total of 839 insect specimens, belonging to 10 orders 36 families 46 species, have been collected in this study. The results indicated that these orders,Lepidoptera,Coleoptera,Hemiptera,Diptera, and Hymenoptera, are dominant taxa in the investigation districts,in terms of numbers of families and species. The predominant insects are all forestry pests in different habitats. The insect diversity in the landscaping forest sample was significantly higher than that of the shelter forest sample, with the highest Shannon-Wiener and Margalef values of 2.67 and 4.12,respectively,and the lowest Shannon-Wiener and Margalef values of 1.87 and 2.13,respectively.The diversity of insect communities are associated with the vegetation types in different habitats, and the similarities of insect community composition in thesame habitatsare high.
