Cutting Propagation Experiment of 5 Cold Resistant Varieties of Rosa chinensis
Using five cold resistant varieties of Rosa chinensis, including"Sunshine Midland""Red Unparalleled Beauty""Pony Ball Porch""Red May"and"Wonderland"as materials, conducted cutting propagation experiment, which aimed at the outcomes of the rooting agents, the rooting numbers and the root length under the different cutting propagation substrates, different plant growth regulators and different cutting slips. The results showed that there were differences in the rooting rate, the root number, and the root length among the five Rosa chinensis varieties on different substrates. The rooting rate on the mixed substrate(river sand∶vermiculite∶sheep dung=2∶1∶1)was significantly higher than that on other substrates.Among them, the rooting rates of the"Pony Ball Porch"on the mixed substrate was the highest, reaching 80.52%,while the rooting rates of"Sunshine Midland","Red Unparalleled Beauty",and"Red May"were 75.32%,65.73%,and 61.46%,respectively."Wonderland"was the lowest, only reaching for 33.87%.Besides,in terms of the root length,"Sunshine Midland","Pony Ball Porch"were better than other treatments;"Red Unparalleled Beauty"and"Red May"were the same outcomes under mixed substrates treatment and peat soil treatment, but significantly effective compared with the other three kinds of treatments.Lastly,in terms of the root number, the mixed substrate treatment of the five varieties was also significantly higher than the other treatments.Under treatments with different plant growth regulators in five R.chinensis varieties, the rooting rate of"Pony Ball Porch"on GGR is significantly higher than other rooting agents, with the highest rooting rate reaching 95.62%.IBA treatment can significantly promote root growth, compared with other plant growth regulator treatment. The number of roots treated by GGR was significantly higher than that of other plant growth regulators, with the largest number of"Pony Ball Porch"reaching 8.35 individuls;Different cutting slips also has an influence on the rooting rate. The rooting rate of the middle cutting slips is higher than that of other parts, but the base cutting slips is more conducive to the growth of root length.Analyzing the three factors, the best combination of the central branches+GRR150 mg·L-1+mixed substrates was suggested among the five cold resistant varieties of R.chinensis.
