A New Record of 8 Waterbirds Species in Baishuijiang National Nature Reserve of Gansu Province
A new record of 8 waterbirds species in Baishuijiang National Nature Reserve was reported,including Haliaeetus albicilla,Larus cachinnans,Netta rufina,Podiceps cristatus,Aix galericulata,Mareca falcata,Anas clypeata and Mergus squamatus.Among them,H.albicilla,and M.squamatus belong to the national first-class key protected animals,A.galericulata belongs to the national second-class key protected animals,N.rufina,N.rufina,A.clypeata,M.falcata and P.cristatus are included in China's"List of Terrestrial Wild Animals Protected by the State or with Important Economic and Scientific Research Value".Considering the original distribution,recording time and residence type,it is speculated that the L.cachinnans is a migratory and transiting bird in the Baishuijiang National Nature Reserve,P.cristatus and A.galericulata are winter migratory birds,M.falcata and A.clypeata are migratory and transiting birds.
