Research of agricultural development in the Hexi Corridor during the early Tang dynasty:A case study of Ganzhou
During the Tang dynasty,the political and economic center was located in the northwestern region of chang'an,with the adjacent Hexi Corridor serving as a crucial intersection between the central plains Han ethnic group and the nomadic minority ethnic groups.Ganzhou,as one of the key towns in the Hexi Corridor,played a significant role in border defense and other important functions within the economic and political system of that era.This paper explores the agricultural development in Ganzhou during the early Tang dynasty from the perspectives of regional characteristics,agricultural production conditions,and the economic and political system of the Tang dynasty,aiming to shed light on the material culture and socio-economic conditions during the Tang dynasty period.
