Research on the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry in Longnan City under the background of rural revitalization strategy
Based on an in-depth analysis of the new mission and significance of rural industry revitalization in the new era,and with field research on traditional Chinese medicinal herb cultivation industry in Longnan City,Gansu Province,this study identifies various constraints hindering the development of the industry.Drawing from data published by national,provincial,and municipal statistical bureaus,it reveals a lack of knowledgeable,cultured,and dynamic high-quality new farmers in the traditional Chinese medicinal herb cultivation industry.Additionally,it highlights serious lag in the breeding of superior medicinal herb seeds and seedlings,inadequate investment in scientific research,underutilization of traditional Chinese medicinal herb cooperatives,and low mechanization level in medicinal herb cultivation.To address these challenges,strategies such as cultivating talent in traditional Chinese medicine industry,conducting targeted scientific research,and promoting the development of family farms and farmer cooperatives as new modern agricultural entities are proposed to drive the development of the traditional Chinese medicinal herb cultivation industry and advance the rural revitalization strategy in Longnan City.
