Trend Analysis of Potassium Oxide Content in the Beneficiation Process of Jingtieshan Type Iron Ore
In view of the characteristics of Jingtieshan refractory oxidized iron ore and the on-site process flow of Jiusteel concentrator,in order to reduce the alkali metal load per ton of iron in Jiusteel blast furnace, especially the K2O content,in order to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent sintering and ironmaking process, the properties of raw ore in different beneficiation processes were studied. It is found that the main mineral of K2O is muscovite.Jingtieshan mine is divided into strong magnetic powder ore and lump ore by screening. After roasting and discarding, the K2O content of lump ore is basi-cally stable at 0.405%,which can meet the quality requirements of ironmaking concentrate. The content of K2O in the strong magnetic powder ore is higher.Through the investigation of the on-site strong magnetic separation process,it is found that the vertical ring machine and the drum magnetic separator have a certain separation effect on the gangue mineral mus-covite.After adjusting the operating parameters of the equipment,K2O can be further enriched in the tailings. Finally,a qualified iron concentrate with an iron concentrate grade of 44.90%,a recovery rate of 59.71%,and a K2O grade of 0.362%can be obtained, which provides a certain data reference for the timely control of the comprehensive iron concen-trate quality of the refractory iron oxide ore separation products.
