Research and Analysis of Metallurgical Properties of High Silicon Metallized Pellets
In order to provide high silicon metallized pellets with stable quality and performance for blast furnaces,various metallurgical properties and influencing factors of high silicon metallized pellets were studied by means of reducing test,low temperature reducing pulverization test and melt drop test.The results show that the high silicon metallized pellets have the advantages of high metallization rate,high iron grade,excellent reduction performance and no low temperature reduction pulverization.The soft melting performance of the high silicon metallized pellets deteriorates with the increase of SiO2 con-tent,and the melt droplet performance is better than that of sinter and oxidized pellets.Adding a certain proportion of high silicon metallized pellets in blast furnace is conducive to reducing the coke ratio and thus reducing the smelting cost of blast furnace.However,considering the effect of reducing the use of coke on the"skeleton"of the blast furnace,the proportion of addition needs to be further verified by the blast furnace.
