Metallographic microscope(OM)and electron probe(EPMA)were used to analyze the center segregation structure of 8011 cast-rolled strip under different casting and rolling process conditions, and the influence of different cast-ing and rolling process parameters on the center segregation defects of cast-rolled strip was studied. The results show that high cooling water temperature and large casting and rolling zone length are not conducive to the control of the center segre-gation defect of 8011 alloy cast-rolled strip. The influence of casting and rolling speed on the center segregation defect is the most sensitive. When the casting and rolling speed reaches 780 mm/min or more, the center segregation defect deteriorates sharply, which significantly affects the microstructure and properties of the strip. The center segregation defect of cast-rolled strip of 8011 alloy is a compound of β-Al5 FeSi+α-Al composed of Al,Fe and Si,which is a non-equilibrium hypereutectic structure formed during crystallization.
