Taking the soil around a lead-zinc smelter as the research object, the characteristics and treatment methods of heavy metal pollution in soil were discussed by comprehensive application of soil science, environmental science and eco-logical restoration technology.First, through soil sample collection and laboratory analysis, the types and content levels of major heavy metal pollutants in the soil were determined, and the pollution degree and spatial distribution characteristics were assessed.Secondly, based on the characteristics of pollution, this study screened suitable physical, chemical and biological remediation technologies, including soil solidification/stabilization,electric remediation, phytoremediation and microbial remediation, and compared and analyzed the advantages and limitations of various technologies.Further,ac-cording to the site conditions and pollution characteristics, the soil solidification/stabilization restoration scheme is select-ed.The results showed that the soil solidification/stabilization restoration scheme could effectively reduce the heavy metal content in soil, restore the soil ecological function, and provide a scientific basis and technical support for soil pollution control of similar lead-zinc smelter contaminated sites.
