As a high risk industry,electrolytic aluminum has many hidden dangers in the production process,one of which is the abnormal side of the electrolytic cell. This paper deeply analyzes the specific causes of the abnormal side of the elec-trolyzer and the emergency treatment steps corresponding to different levels of the situation. Combined with practical experi-ence,it is proposed that the side risk can be predicted in advance by utilizing the survey,side data measurement and sili-con content change during the pole change period,and the side risk can be solved through online repair of the side and process adjustment,so as to reduce the hidden danger of the operation of the electrolyzer. It provides a strong guarantee for the safe production of electrolytic cell.
