Influence of Matrix Acupuncture on the Scores of Pain,Anxiety and Depression in Patients with Cervical and Shoulder Myofasciitis
Objective:To observe the influence of matrix acupuncture on the scores of pain,anxiety and depression in patients with cervical and shoulder myofaciitis.Methods:Seventy patients with cervical and shoulder myofaciitis were randomized into matrix acupuncture group and conventional acupuncture group,with 35 cases in each group,both groups left the needles in place for 40 minutes after needling according to the prescribed method,for ten times.To assess the patients'VAS,WPI,BAI and BDI scores at the zero,second,forth and eighth weeks of acupuncture respectively.Results:After two weeks of the treatment,the improvements of WPI and BAI scores of matrix acupuncture group were more noticeable than these of conventional acupuncture group(P<0.05),after four weeks of the treatment,BDI scores of matrix acupuncture group were improved more remarkably than these of conventional acupuncture group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Matrix acupuncture could effectively improve the patients'symptoms including pain,anxiety and depression.
