Study on the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease from the Spleen Based on Intestinal Mucosal Barrier
The advances in the studies on the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)from the spleen based on intestinal mucosal barrier were reviewed from the influence of intestinal mucosal barrier on IBD,the connections between spleen and IBD,spleen in TCM and intestinal mucosal barrier sharing the same functional foundation,the treatment for spleen influencing on intestinal mucosal barrier.Intestinal mucosa as the first barrier of preventing the occurrence of IBD is closely related to TCM theory of spleen supporting the defensive Qi,and the experiments showed that spleen deficiency could lead to the dysfunction of intestinal mucosa,invigorating spleen and promoting Qi circulation could play a therapeutic role in IBD.
