Study on Clinical Application of Five-step Cervical Spine Rehabilitation Exercises in the Rehabilitation of Patients with Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy
Objective:To observe rehabilitation effects of five-step cervical spine rehabilitation exercise on the patients suffering cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR).Methods:All 90 CSR patients who accepted conservative therapy were randomized into the experiment group and the control group with 45 cases in each group according to random number table method. The control group adopted fundamental nursing measures, and the experiment group performed five-step cervical spine rehabilitation exercise based on basic nursing measures. To compare the NDI scores,VAS and range of motion(ROM)scores of the cervical spine at various points on admission and discharge between the two groups. Results:Patients'NDI and VAS scores at various times after discharge were lower in the two groups compared to when admitted(P<0.01),ROM of cervical spines were improved than on admission(P<0.05).The improvements of the experiment group were better than these of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Five-step cervical spine rehabilitation exercise is an effective method of relieving cervical pain, improving cervical function and cervical range of motion.
