Objective:To discuss the influence of harmonizing and supplementing Yangqi method on the expression of IL-5 in nasal lavage fluid of patients with allergic rhinitis.Methods:A total of 21 patients were treated with harmonizing and supplementing Yangqi method,to detect the levels of IL-5 in patients'nasal lavage fluid and nasal secretions before and after the treatment,and to compare with the levels of IL-5 in nasal secretions of normal people.Results:The levels of IL-5 in nasal secretions before the treatment were higher than these of normal population(P＜0.05);after the treatment,the expressions of IL-5 in nasal lavage fluid were lowered compared with before the treatment(P＜0.05);but still higher than these of normal population.Conclusion:Harmonizing and supplementing Yangqi method could lower the levels of IL-5 in nasal lavage fluid in patients with allergic rhinitis.
