Curative Observation on Treating Chronic Periodontitis by Compound Huangbai Liquid Coating Agent as Adjuvant Therapy and Ultrasonic Subgingival Scaling
Objective:To explore clinical effects of compound Huangbai liquid coating agent as adjuvant therapy and ultrasonic subgingival scaling in the treatment of chronic periodontitis(CP).Methods:All 94 CP patients were allocated to the control group and the treatment group according to random number table method with 47 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ultrasonic subgingival scaling;the treatment group was cleaned with compound Huangbai liquid coating agent based on ultrasonic subgingival scaling.After two weeks of the treatment,to compare periodontal indicators,the recovery time of main symptoms and therapeutic effects between both groups.Results:After the treatment,the scores of gingival indexes and gum bleeding index were reduced in the two groups,the depth of periodontal pockets and attachment loss degree were decreased,the improvements of periodontal indicators of the treatment group were better than these of the control group(P＜0.01);the treatment group was shorter than the control group in the recovery time of halitosis,swelling and aching of gum(P＜0.01);total effective rate of the treatment group was 97.87%(46/47),higher than 82.98%(39/47)of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Compound Huangbai liquid coating agent as adjuvant therapy and ultrasonic subgingival scaling could improve clinical efficacy of CP patients.
