Data Mining-based Analysis of the Medication Rule of Chief Physician Liao Zhifeng's Treatment of Insomnia
Objective:To investigate the medication rules and clinical characteristics of the medication used in the treatment of insomnia by national famous TCM doctor Liao Zhifeng using data mining technology.Methods:Excel 2010,IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 and IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 and other softwares were applied to perform statistical analysis of data after collecting and sorting the proven cases of treating insomnia in famous doctor Liao Zhifeng's work studio in the recent five years(from 2017 to 2022).Results:All 242 complete prescriptions met the criterion were obtained,including 177 traditional Chinese medicines,among them,high-frequency drugs contained Yuanzhi(Polygala tenuifolia,210 times),Suanzaoren(Jujube seed,164 times),Baiziren(platycladi semen,154 times),Fuling(poria,119 times),Banxia(pinelliae rhizoma,115 times)and fossil fragments(115 times);among the drug combinations analyzed by association rules,binomial association rules"Yuanzhi-Suanzaoren",and three association rules"Yuanzhi-Baiziren and Suanzaoren"ranked the highest in terms of support and confidence level.The drug association network diagram showed a strong relationship between drugs such as Baiziren,Yuanzhi,Suanzaoren,Fuling and fossil fragments,and other high-frequency drugs,with a relatively high frequency of medication use.High-frequency drugs can be grouped into five categories.Conclusion:Famous doctor Liao Zhifeng considers that the main organs are heart,liver and kidney in his syndrome differentiation and treatment for insomnia,he usually adds the drugs for calming the mind,adopting Sijunzi Tang,Suanzaoren Tang,Tianwang Buxin pills and Wendan Tang as the basic prescriptions,plus sedatives and the medicine of calming the mind,heart and spirit,the prescription is concise and effective with accurate syndrome differentiation.
