The Impacts of TCM Emotional Care Combined with Symptom Diary on Cancer-caused Fatigue,Negative Emotions and Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Chemotherapy Patients
Objective:To investigate the effects of TCM emotional care combined with symptom diary on cancer-caused fatigue,negative emotions and quality of life of chemotherapy patients with liver-depression qi stagnation type breast cancer(stage Ⅲ).Methods:A total of 102 patients with breast cancer(stage Ⅲ)undergoing chemotherapy were screened and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 51 cases in each group.Both groups received chemotherapy regimens of docetaxel,epirubicin,and taxol epirubicin cyclo-phosphamide(TEC);The control group received routine nursing interventions,and the observation group was given TCM emotional nursing combined with symptom diary on the basis of routine nursing;Both groups were treated continuously for six cycles of chemotherapy.Cancer-caused fatigue,negative emotions and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the Cancer Fatigue Scale(CFS)score,Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score,and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.01);after treatment,the improvement of quality of life scores of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:TCM emotional care combined with symptom diary can effectively improve cancer-caused fatigue,negative emotions and quality of life in chemotherapy patients with liver-depression and qi stagnation type of breast cancer(stage Ⅲ).
