Effects of Respiratory Rehabilitation Exercise Combined with Continuous Nursing Intervention of TCM on Quality of Life of Patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Objective:To discuss the effects of respiratory rehabilitation exercise and continuous nursing intervention of TCM on quality of life in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF).Methods:All 88 IPF patients were allocated to the study group and the control group in light of random number table method. The control group accepted conventional care, while the study group was given respiratory rehabilitation exercise and continuous nursing intervention of TCM based on the control group. To compare the indexes of lung function(percent predicted carbon monoxide diffusing capacity, percent predicted total lung capacity, percent predicted forced vital capacity),respiratory mechanics indicators(end-expiratory transpulmonary pressure,end-inspiratory transpulmonary pressure, transpulmonary driving pressure)and quality of life before and after nursing between both groups. Results:Compared with the control group after the nursing, the indexes of lung function were higher and the respiratory mechanics indicators were lower in the study group(P<0.05);the ATAQ-IPF(A tool to assess quality of life in IPF)were lower than these of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Respiratory rehabilitation exercise and continuous nursing intervention of TCM is helpful to raise lung function in IPF patients, improve dyspnea and quality of life in IPF patients.
