The Influence of Chinese Medicine Fomentation and Chinese Medicine Footbath on Delayed Vomiting of Cisplatin Chemotherapy in Tumor Patients
Objective:To explore the influence of Chinese medicine fomentation combined with traditional Chinese medicine footbath on delayed vomiting in tumor patients treated with cisplatin chemotherapy. Methods:All 120 patients with delayed vomiting after chemotherapy were randomly divided into observation group and control group, both groups used antiemetic drugs strictly(dexamethasone, muscular injection of benadryl)according to the doctor's prescription, and the control group was given traditional Chinese medicine footbath on the day of chemotherapy for five days. The observation group adopted Chinese medicine fomentation on the day of chemotherapy on the foundation of the therapy the control group received. To compare the degree of vomiting, the rate of vomiting relief and negative emotions before and after the intervention between the two groups. Results:After the intervention, the vomiting relief rate of patients in the observation group was 90.91%(50/55),higher than 76.79%(43/56)of the control group(P<0.05);the frequency of vomiting of patients in the observation group was less than that of the control group after the intervention(P<0.05),and the duration of vomiting was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05);the scores of the Hamilton rating scale for Anxiety(HAMA)and the Hamilton rating scale for depression(HAMD)were reduced after the intervention in the two groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine fomentation combined with traditional Chinese medicine footbath can improve the remission rate of delayed vomiting in tumor patients with cisplatin chemotherapy, reduce the frequency of vomiting and the duration of vomiting, and help alleviate anxiety and depression.
