Treatment of Parkinson's Disease Combined with Depression with Xingnao Jieyu Capsules:30 Cases
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Xingnao Jieyu capsules in the treatment of Parkinson's disease(PD)combined with depression.Methods:Eighty-six patients with PD and depression were selected and randomly divided into the control group(Levodopa and Benserazide Hydrochloride tablets group,26 cases),the positive drug group(Levodopa and Benserazide Hydrochloride tablets combined with pramipexole dihydrochloride group,30 cases)and the observation group(Levodopa and Benserazide Hydrochloride tablets combined with Xingnao Jieyu capsule group,30 cases),and they were treated for a total of three months.To compare clinical efficacy,motor symptoms,depression symptom scores and safety indexes between the groups.Results:Before the treatment,the difference had no statistical meaning in the unified Parkinson's disease rating scale(UPDRS),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)and non-motor symptoms.question-naire(NMQuest)scores(P>0.05).After six and twelve weeks of medication,the UPDRS scores of the positive drug group and the observation group decreased,but the difference was not statistically significant between the groups(P>0.05);the HAMD and NMQuest scores of the positive drug group and the observation group decreased significantly,and the difference was statistically significant when compared with the control group(P<0.05),and the difference between the positive drug group and the observation group had no statistical meaning(P>0.05).The total effective rates of improving depression and non-motor symptoms in both the positive drug group and the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).No obvious abnormalities were seen in the relevant laboratory tests before and after treatment in each group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Levodopa and Benserazide Hydrochloride tablets and Xingnao Jieyu capsules,the application of Levodopa and Benserazide Hydrochloride tablets and pramipexole dihydrochloride can improve the symptoms of depression in PD patients with good efficacy and safety,among which,Xingnao Jieyu capsules are inexpensive and effective.
