Effects of Goiter-resolving Nodule-removing Formula Combined with Wax Mud Moxibustion on TSH,E2 and Infrared Thermography in Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Mammary Gland Hyperplasia
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of goiter-resolving nodule-removing formula combined with wax mud moxibustion in the treatment of thyroid nodules combined with mammary gland hyperplasia.Methods:Eighty patients suffering from thyroid nodule combined with mammary gland hyperplasia were divided into the observation group(goiter-resolving nodule-removing formula combined with wax mud moxibustion)and control group(goiter-resolving nodule-removing formula)according to random number table method,treated for three consecutive months.The changes of thyroid nodule symptom score,mammary gland hyperplasia symptom score,TCM symptom score and thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and estradiol(E2)levels in the two groups were observed before and after the treatment;and the body surface temperatures and abnormal infrared zones of the patients'thyroid glands and mammary glands were collected by infrared human body surface temperature rapid screening instrument to compare the therapeutic efficacy of the two groups.Results:The main symptom score of thyroid nodule,main symptom score of breast hyperplasia and TCM symptom score of the observation group improved significantly compared with the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,TSH and E2 levels in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group was better than the control group in reducing the abnormally elevated localized temperature of thyroid nodules and breast hyperplasia and shrinking the abnormally high temperature area(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of thyroid nodules and mammary gland hyperplasia with the combination of goiter-resolving nodule-removing formula and wax mud moxibustion is effective in narrowing the nodule hyperplasia and improving the discomfort of patients.
