Influence of Syndrome Differentiation-based Dietotherapy Joined with Auricular Point Bean Pressing on Blood Glucose-related Indicators and Pregnancy Outcome in Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
Objective:To observe the impacts of syndrome differentiation-based dietotherapy and auricular point bean pressing on blood glucose-related indicators and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods:All 66 GDM patients were randomized into two groups with 33 cases in each. Both groups accepted routine intervention, and the observation group was given syndrome differentiation-based dietotherapy and auricular point bean pressing. Both groups were treated for eight weeks consecutively. To compare the levels of blood glucose, insulin resistance index(IRI)and pregnancy outcome in the two groups. Results:After the treatment, the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h postprandial plasma glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting insulin and IRI lowered in the two groups, and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The incidences of Cesarean section, premature delivery, neonatal asphyxia, macrosomia, intrauterine asphyxia, postnatal infection, prelabor rupture of membranes(PROM)of the observation group were lower than these of the control group, while the difference had no statistical meaning(P>0.05).Conclusion:On the foundation of conventional therapeutic measures, syndrome differentiation-based dietotherapy and auricular point bean pressing in the treatment of GDM could obviously lower the levels of blood glucose, reduce the conditions of IRI and decrease the incidences of adverse pregnancy outcome.
