Curative Observation on Acupuncture Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Low-back Pain with Kidney Deficiency Blood Stasis Type of Leg Pain Due to LDH
Objective:To discuss therapeutic effects of acupuncture and Western medicine in the treatment of kidney deficiency blood stasis type low-back pain and leg pain due to lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:All 66 patients were allocated to the observation group and the control group with 33 cases in each group according to random number table method. The control group adopted mecobalamin tablets and celecoxib capsules, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture based on the therapy the control group accepted, the course of the treatment was two weeks. To compare the degrees of low-back pain and leg pain, lumbar function, symptom scores of renal deficiency and blood stasis pattern, curative effects and adverse reaction in the two groups. Results:After the treatment, the VAS scores of low-back and leg and symptom scores reduced in the two groups(P<0.05),the scores of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)increased(P<0.05),and the decrease or increase of the observation group was more obvious than that of the control group(P<0.05).Total effective rate of the observation group was 93.94% (31/33),higher than 69.70% (23/33)of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction of the observation group was[3.03% (1/33)],lower than[6.06% (2/33)]of the control group, while the difference had no statistical meaning(P>0.05).Conclusion:On the foundation of conventional therapy of Western medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion could relieve low-back pain and leg pain, and clinical symptoms in LDH patients, improve lumbar function, and raise therapeutic effects with good safety.
