Objective:To observe clinical effects of incision thread-drawing counter-drainage procedure(ITCP)and compound Huangbo liquid fumigation in the treatment of perianal abscess(PA).Methods:All 146 PA patients were allocated to the control group and the observation group using stratified blocked randomization.The control group was treated with ITCP,and the observation group accepted compound Huangbo liquid fumigation on the foundation of conventional therapy of Western medicine,both groups were treated for four weeks consecu-tively.To detect the scores of the symptoms and body signs at different time points,the levels of activin A(ACTA)and Interleukin-6(IL-6)in the two groups,to compare wound healing time,the time of carrion shedding and clinical effects between both groups.Results:The scores of symptoms and body signs including anal pain,perianal edema,wound exudate and granulation tissue were reduced on the 7th and 14th postoperative days than these on the 1st day after surgery(P<0.05),and the above indexes of the observation group were lower than these of the control group(P<0.05);the observation group was less than the control group in the time of carrion shedding and wound healing time;on the 7th and 14th postoperative days,the levels of serum ACTA and IL-6 of both groups were lowered than these before the operation(P<0.05),and the above indexes of the observation group were lower than these of the control group(P<0.05);there was no differences in total effective rate between both groups(P>0.05),while the recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:ITCP combined with compound Huangbo liquid fumigation in the treatment of PA could inhibit inflammatory response in the body,promote postoperative wound healing and reduce the recurrence rate.
