The author discusses the connections between autophagy and liver cancer on the foundation of the theory of Qi deficiency,phlegm and blood stasis,cellular autophagy is closely related to the incidence and development of liver cancer,and it may have a dual role in the progression of liver cancer,while the theory of Qi deficiency,phlegm and blood stasis is an important theoretical basis for the study on the incidence and deve-lopment of liver cancer and cellular autophagy.
