Objective:To observe the influence of Shengjin Tang(body fluid-generating decoction)on the expressions of AQP5,IL-10 and IL-17 in patients suffering Qi and Yin deficiency pattern primary Sjögren's syndrome(pSS).Methods:Sixty patients were randomly allocated to TCM group and Western medicine group with 30 cases in each group,TCM group took body fluid-generating decoction, and hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets were dispensed to Western medicine group, both groups were treated for 12 weeks consecutively,to compare TCM symptom scales,Schirmer Ⅰ test values, the expressions of IgG,CRP,AQP5,IL-17 and IL-10 in the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:After the treatment,TCM symptom scores, and the expressions of IgG,CRP and IL-17 lowered in the two groups,Schirmer Ⅰ test values, the expressions of IL-10 and AQP5 increased(P<0.05),except for CRP,the improvements of other indexes of TCM group were better than these of Western medicine group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Body fluid-generating decoction,on the foundation of the theory of sour-sweet transformed into Yin,could improve pSS patients'clinical symptoms, and its mechanism might be related to that the decoction could regulate the expressions of AQP5,IL-17 and IL-10,and inhibit inflammatory response in human body.
