Objective:To discuss clinical effects of modified Siling powder in the treatment of children with simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction pattern.Methods:All 62 SO children were allocated to the control group and the treatment group according to random number table method with 31 cases in each group.The control group adopted conventional intervention measures,and the treatment group orally took Siling powder on the foundation of the control group accepted.To compare obesity related indexes,symptom scores of spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction pattern and clinical effects between both groups after three months of the treatment.Results:After the treatment,the scores of body weight,body mass index,fat percentage and the symptoms of spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction pattern were lowered in the two groups,and the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.01);total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.5%(29/31),higher than 67.7%(21/31)of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Conventional therapy of Western medicine combined with modified Siling powder in the treatment of spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction type of SO children are better than only conventional therapy of Western medicine,which could further improve clinical symptoms and TCM syndromes of the children.
